Teaching

Since my graduation in 2000 I have been a trumpet- and jazz improvisation teacher at the ‘Polderhuis’ in Lansingerland. The jazz combo was getting pretty successfull lately. After many pleasant years the school will be closing this summer, due to failing subsidy policy.

Next to that I teach at the "fanfare" orchestra ‘K&V’ (Kunst en Vriendschap) in Zoetermeer. This is a band which has its own education, including "AMV" (General Musical Cultivation) for the youngest, private music lessons and a "pre-orchestra" which allows student players to play together soon.

Lately I have been training myself in different ways of teaching jazz improvisation. My goal is to combine listening, understanding, knowing and feeling in small exercises.
